Sports betting for money is prohibited in most of India, and online money games are banned under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. This page explains how sports markets work; it does not encourage betting where it is not allowed.
What you can find
The section typically covers cricket (international matches and T20 leagues), football, tennis, kabaddi, basketball and esports. Big events get many markets, while smaller matches may only offer the main result.
How decimal odds work
Odds such as 1.80 or 2.50 show the total return for every ₹1 staked, including your stake. A ₹100 bet at 2.50 returns ₹250 if it wins. To see the bookmaker's implied chance, divide 1 by the odds: 2.50 means 40%. Add up the implied chances for every outcome in a market; the amount above 100% is the margin.
| Bet type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Match winner | Which team or player wins |
| Over / Under | Whether a total (runs, goals) goes above or below a line |
| Live (in-play) | Bets placed while the match is running, with odds changing every moment |
| Accumulator | Several picks combined; all must win, so the chance drops sharply |
Keep it under control
- Live betting moves fast. Decide your stake before the match starts.
- Long accumulators pay well because they almost always lose.
- Ignore paid "fixed match" tips. They are always scams.
